PONY. I swear.

So when our waitress tonight asked if there was anything she could get for anyone I said, "A pony." As she was walking off I said, "White, with black spots."

She came back from the kitchen to let me know that there weren’t any ponies, that they were all out. I insisted that I needed a pony and she informed me she could charge me for one if I wanted, but she was sorry, they were all out.

She ended up charging me for a pony. That’s just crazy. I never got my pony.

I bought this vase at the Bouckville Antique Show yesterday. I saw it at one of the first booths but it was . It’s certainly not something I need but I thought the color green would look good in the kitchen. But for the price I passed on it and wandered to the next booth. Lo and behold there it was again and this time for ! That’s my kind of price.

House renovation in Seattle Washington of kitchen, in 1930′s house in Crown Hill, Seattle, Washington. Leaded crystal hanging in window for rainbow effects, and a fresh apple pie on the microwave.

We refinished the existing 1930′s metal sink with several hand sprayed layers of white enamel – you can not just buy this sort of feeling and it is so easy to kill it – the house is very cosy, soft and clean –hobbits love it.

Hand made curtains with store bought ones on sale for from Lowes.

Today’s buffet was at the very delicious Shahi Kitchen, Indian cuisine restaurant, out West Broad St from Richmond, VA. Very authentic Indian food, some of it served as hot and spicy as you can stand!!! Very tastey! And very reasonable prices! This is our kitchen cabinet layout. The island will have an overhang and a kitchen table on wheels will slide under the lip. The kitchen table can be pulled out into the nook space to accommodate more guests (see floor plan: www.flickr.com/photos/moosicorn/4201255945/ ). Stools can be used for bar seating at the island.

You are thinking what’s with the kitchen? It’s a 1959 photo of my family’s resort White Rock on Lake Chetek in Northern Wisconsin. It sits on a peninsula in Chetek, which is part of the Chain of Six Lakes. My great-grandfather built all seven cabins by himself, including the kitchen cabinets you see here. They look great. This weekend I will be paying a visit to this place for the first time.
