  2. if you have a normal desktop PC you can upgrade your processor (you should also have about 2GB's of RAM – 1 is enough but 2 is better). Dual core CPU's start from less than £40; make sure it's a processor that is compatible with your motherboard though and you must set it up in BIOS before you start. It's not as difficult as it sounds ;-)
